The objective of this document is to help you go through the actual process (step-by-step) in real-time, BEFORE you begin to get actual ‘Requests’ from your Clients.

Here’s Your 5-Minute Checklist

1. Sign in and create your profile (if you’re here, you’ve already done this). Next step: polish your profile.
2. Add a good quality headshot (smiling, good lighting, and a touch of attitude).
3. Write a brief description of what you do (we can help you with this).
4. Include your location for search purposes.
5. Add Your First Listing.

Polish Your Listing

1. Add a clear headline: Example: “Electrician for Minor Works Johannesburg North”.
2. Prepare a description (<70 words) that you can copy-and-paste.
3. Add relevant tags (e.g. [x]electrician, [x]install lights).
4. Upload great photos of some of your best work (up to 6)
5. Set notifications on your phone (never miss a request).

How to Boost Your Ranking

1. Provide exceptional service.
2. Specialize in a niche and focus only on that.
3. Reply within 2 hours to encourage good reviews.
4. Always ask for reviews.
5. This results in auto-upgrade (Verified Badge > Elites Badge).

How Clients Find You

1. Alongside a range of activities, we sponsor ads on social media and Google. Clients find us there and search the platform for:
2. Keywords and tags
3. Hall of Legends (categories)
4. Find Experts (profiles)
5. Clients will message you directly via the platform. They may also ‘send a request’ to you directly (or sitewide).

Budget Tips

1. Avoid accepting prices below those in your profile.
2. Price your services just below established contractors but above general handymen.

Ensure a Flawless Process

1. Make sure your quote/price is done using the ‘Send Request’ feature.
2. When agreeing on price and scope, prompt the client to use the ‘Send Request’ button on your profile page.

Accepting a Request

1. Write the exact job scope and your terms & conditions clearly to avoid ambiguity.
2. Once the request is accepted, it’s time to do the work.

After Completing the Job

1. Click ‘delivered’ (the client will get a notification and click ‘complete’).
2. You get paid via EFT (less a 10% service fee).
3. Lastly, ask for a review.
